May we begin this summer????

Tony Montana - Young Jonn

Just in case you’ve been under a rock, Young Jon dropped one of the smoothest albums out right now. ‘Tony Montana’ serves as the intro to that beautiful body of work. Drawing inspiration from the iconic character Tony Montana from the movie 'Scarface.' Young Jonn's vocals and confident delivery makes it an anthem for dream chasers and those living life on their own terms

Dealer- Ayo Maff, Fireboy DML

Easily one of my favourite songs out right now.
Ayo Maff provides a glimpse into the realities of life on the edge, where survival often depends on quick wit and street smarts.
His storytelling draws listeners into a world where risks are high, but the rewards can be intoxicating and makes a bold commentary on the hustle and grind of life on the streets
The song also does a great job in showcasing Ayo Maff's ability to craft compelling narratives within his music. It's a song that demands attention, and leaves an impression

Ijo Ope- Balloranking, L.A.X

Balloranking's 'Ijo Ope' is a vibrant celebration of joy and gratitude, The song's title, which translates to 'Dance of Gratitude' in Yoruba, sets the tone for a jubilant anthem that pays homage to life's blessings and victories.
'Ijo Ope' is a reminder to cherish the moments of happiness and to express gratitude for the blessings that surround us.

Showcase- Young Jonn, Blaqbonez

Another fave from the Jiggy album, ‘Showcase,' commands attention from the very first note. And another piece of evidence that shows Blaqbonez and Young Jonn’s unmatched chemistry, with Young Jonn's verse and hook providing the perfect backdrop for Blaqbonez's delivery and witty wordplay. These two use this song as an opportunity to casually flex their successes and the rewards of years of hard work

Love Me Jeje- Tems

A single from a personal fave of mine of her anticipated album “Love in the Wild”
'Love Me Jeje' effortlessly blends elements of R&B and Afrobeat
The song explores themes of love, vulnerability, and self-discovery, and creates an intimate atmosphere that resonates with anyone who has experienced the complexities of romance
The song is simple and yet powerful and nostalgic as it samples Seyi Sodimu’s “Love Me Jeje” paying homage to the original but adding a contemporary twist.
Can’t wait for the album and she announced she’s going on tour, so see her on the road!

Rodo- Adekunle Gold

This feels like one of those songs to dance to in an underground speakeasy packed from wall to wall and celebrate love and passion just like the lyrics aim to achieve. Reminds me of real summer vibes like Rihanna’s work did that year.
It really shows Adekunle Gold’s versatility and evolution as an artist

Left, Right -Keys the Prince, Mayorkun

"Left, Right Remix" by Keys the Prince featuring Mayorkun is all about celebration, dance, and the lively culture of Nigerian music. The song blends the modern Afrobeat sound with traditional elements, creating a mix that feels both nostalgic and new. This combination of old and new styles makes the song appealing to a broad audience, both in Nigeria and around the world. The upbeat vibe and catchy rhythms are perfect for getting people to dance and enjoy the vibrant energy of Nigerian music.

Life of the Party- Oshamo

It is a feel-good anthem with a catchy melody that immediately draws listeners in. Oshamo's smooth delivery with that voice texture and clever wordplay captivates the listener and paints a vivid picture of a vibrant nightlife scene. The lyrics celebrate living in the moment and embracing the excitement of the nightlife, making it a favorite among partygoers.
I first heard about this song on the clock app. And I really liked it even when it was just a viral snippet.

Stubborn- Victony, Asake

This song explores personal growth and the challenges of staying true to oneself in the face of adversity and serves as a reminder to embrace one's uniqueness and persevere in the pursuit of individuality and authenticity.
With its stripped-down production and raw vulnerability, "Stubborn" evokes a sense of empathy and understanding. The song’s emotional depth and authenticity make it a standout.

Bad Vibez- Ayra Starr, Seyi Vibez

Off her new album, ‘The Year I Turned 21’, ‘Bad Vibes’ perfectly describes the statement ‘a collaboration you didn’t know you needed’.
The lyrics radiates positivity, and a conscious effort and dedication to focus on achievement and success all while protecting one’s energy from ‘bad vibes’

Everyday- Fireboy DML

This song embodies the essence of love and devotion. "Everyday" brings feelings of warmth and tenderness with every listen. The melody and catchy chorus make it a favourite for romantic playlists and heartfelt dedications
